The new rake of the Butterfly series combines the well-known advantages offered by the half-carried rake with central swath with a lighter weight and great handiness both at work and during transportation. It is hooked to the three-point linkage of the tractor hitch. Being carried, it demands a tractor able to hoist 1000 kgs. Working width can be adjusted manually on the extractable arms in order to adapt the rake to the cutting bar width.Ideal to make forage swaths in general, but especially of alfalfa immediately after harvesting to form a soft and perfectly symmetrical swath. After road transportation the operator does not need to get off the tractor to start working. The machine is ready for use: just release the safety devices of the hydraulic hoisting cylinders from the driver's seat and lower the rotors to start working.The correct working position and machine balance are found by adjusting the height of the tractor hoisting device and the third point position in order to let the teeth pass just over the ground. During the maneuvers at field head just lift both rotors without modifying the height of the hoisting device. You will always obtain homogeneous adjustments.The gearboxes in oil bath are maintenance-free. The axles with two pivoting wheels adapt to the ground very well (tandem axles upon request).
